Test studio

The Mindfacts Usability-Lab is a modern combination of office and living room and provides a comfortable atmosphere. It fulfils all expectations of a modern test studio with state-of-the-art technology.
Our lab offers the following equipment:

  • PC with Windows XP, High Speed Internet Access (DSL). Our computers have a standard configuration and can be easily adjusted to the individual needs of the study.
  • Tracking software (Morae 2.0) for audio- and video recording of test persons and all browser activities (picture-in-picture technology)
  • Eye Tracking Monitor (Tobii) with infrared camera for non-invasive eye movement recording
  • AKG microphone
  • Digital video camera and web cam
  • Different camera stands for video recordings
  • Observation of test session via a live audio-visual connection.
State-of-the-Art Technology

We record all movements and clicks of the test person through the Tobii Eye Tracker and the well-proven tracking software Morae by Techsmith.

The Morae Software records all browser activities of the user. A web cam which is installed above the test monitor shows every facial expression and gesture of the test persons. A video camera - that is installed in the room - films the entire interview situation (work station, test person, interviewer). The observers in the adjacent room see the complete interview in high quality picture and sound.

For surveys on focus groups and panels of experts, we can inverse the direction of the simulcast. In this case, the lab is used as the observation room.

The recording technologies can be easily adjusted to the individual needs of the study. This especially applies when it comes to the analysis of user interfaces and mobile devices. Mobile phones can be filmed from above through different camera supports.

Eye Tracking offers attractive copy tests (Copy Eye) and design tests for websites for example. Our advertisement analyses are carried out via regular multiple client surveys with B2B- and B2C-target groups.
